Man, I have really been neglecting this lately! Heck, my last entry was written while I was still in Syracuse and a whole quarter at RIT has passed since then! Anyway, I do plan to get back into this in the near future since my life is finally starting to wind down again.
To get back up to speed, last quarter was really rough, probably lending a lot to the neglect this site has experienced. My course load seemed to cause more problems than previous quarters, but in the end I did well.
This summer hasn't really slowed down much and after a short week off after classes, I was back to working full-time at RailComm as a Software Engineering Coop. In my free time I've really taken up a health kick and I've started monitoring my calorie intake and exercising regularly. This is actually going pretty well and I've lost a decent amount of weight so far. This health kick also brought on a bit of my geeky side and I've started learning Perl to modify this "Diet Tracker" web application I found online.
In the upcoming weeks I hope to document a bit of what I learned of Perl and eventually post the final results of my project for others to take advantage of. Please keep an eye out for this and more!
Also, thank you to those who enjoyed the ThinkPad article that I posted back in February, I think I've had more hits for that single article than the rest of the site combined. I'm glad I could help out the general population that way.
